There are number of questions that always arrive in buyers mind “where to buy Razer DeathAdder Transformers 3 Collectors Edition ?, how to buy cheap Razer DeathAdder Transformers 3 Collectors Edition ?” and more.

Many excellent reviews already proving the quality of this product. Razer DeathAdder Transformers 3 Collectors Edition  completed with a lot off capabilities which makes it fantastic product. If you wish to know what people say about this product, just read buyers review below.

I was very hesitant to review this product. I had a horrible experience with the original death adder.

Let me start this review with a bit of history. I bought the original death adder back in 2007. After putting my hand on this mouse at the local brick and mortar, I fell in love. I am a palm mouser, and I wear large/xlarge gloves. So my hands are on the larger size. This mouse is probably the most comfortable mouse I've EVER tried...and trust me, I've tried a TON of mice. The shape steals a lot from the intellimouse from microsoft, but it is somehow a lot more comfortable. So given how much I loved how this mouse felt in my hand, I never thought that razer would fail me in the quality control department. After a couple of weeks, the original Death Adder started squeaking. So much so that it was unbearable. After about 1 month of moderate use, the mouse completely failed me. It stopped working. I took it apart thinking it may be something simple. Nope, it just stopped working. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. This amazing piece of ergonomic supremacy was just a broken shell of a product. The innards were shoddy. Since then, having vowed to never get another razer product, I've tried hundreds of mice. Well, not quite hundreds, but quite a few. And all along, I was longing for the comfort of resting my hands on the death adder. Okay, I'm being a little bit melodramatic, but truly...there is no other mouse in the market that quite feels as good as the death adder, PERIOD. Whether you use the claw technique or the palm technique, the death adder is the perfect intersection of comfort, shape, weight and performance.

So this is why I have been so hesitant to review this product. I've never had issues with how good this product felt in my hand, or how well this mouse performs with pinpoint accuracy. My only problem was its durability. When I heard that Razer was creating a remix version of the original adder, I broke my vow to never buy anything razer again and bought the 3500dpi version.

I have now owned this version of the mouse for going on close to a year. The mouse wheel has yet to squeak. The mouse is still working. So if you had a similar experience with either the HABU(the microsoft version) or the original Death Adder as I, then I can safely tell you to throw that trepidation out the window. Buy this mouse. I will never get back the $80 or so I paid for this mouse's predecessor, but I can safely say they fixed all the quality/durability issues. This is still the most comfortable mouse you'll ever hold. Its ergonomics is unrivaled. The appearance is GORGEOUS, if you are into that. The new and improved 3500 dpi is fantastic. And I do not regret taking the plunge into a 2nd generation Death Adder.

I waited a long time to review this product because I didn't want to steer you into purchasing a product with shoddy durability. Because I waited, I can safely tell you that this product appears to be built to last. The product after close to a year is still working like the first day I got it. My hand has never ached using it, and I am very happy to give it the FULL five stars. Enjoy this fantastic product with its improved durability!!! I know you will be very happy with this mouse; I know I am!!! Razer DeathAdder Transformers 3 Collectors Edition  Review By S.Lee - [Read Original Review here]

This is the upgraded version of the Razer DeathAdder. 3500 DPI instead of 1800 DPI. This is the main difference, although I believe the newer version has a gold plated USB connector and obviously different drivers for each model. Either way both models are identical in physical shape.

The arc of the mouse is by far the most comfortable I've ever used, in that it actually follows the curve of one's hand how it instinctively would grab a mouse. It is also a right handed mouse, sorry southpaws, which adds to the comfort and control of the mouse. I can't say I know what the mouse grip is made out of, but it is completely slip resistant and oil resistant/absorbent. The sides of the mouse are a hard plastic and between the teflon feet and light weight of the mouse there is almost no resistance to movement.

I upgraded from a Logitech Revolution wireless mouse and wireless mice, while convenient, can't compete with the accuracy and precision that a wired mouse provides. My old wireless mouse would lag and skip across the screen and often when closing a program it would accidentally close the window behind it as well, which I never quite figured out why it did that (I'm guessing radio interference?). With the DeathAdder, I have not had that problem once and every click I make is exactly where I expect it to be.

I played with a Logitech G9 and MX518 as well as the Razer Salmosa, which all felt like solid and accurate mice, but they lacked the feel the DeathAdder has. The technical specs are important, but it doesn't really matter how accurate a mouse is if it still isn't comfortable to use. In short, I'm pretty happy I went this way. However, the Razer Salmosa was a close second, but it just seemed like a simple version of the original 3G DeathAdder.

As for gaming I haven't had a whole lot of chances to test it out yet. I've played a bit of Left for Dead with it and after some getting used to and tweaking the settings (independent X and Y sensitivity, button assignemnt, acceleration, etc.) it is way easier to shoot hoards of zombies in the head. I also have played a bit of Fallout, and while the mouse is definately smoother, I can't say it has affected gameplay all that much. I've tried this mouse on my desktop and laptop (Vista and 7 respectively) and both operating systems seem to run the Razer software perfectly fine. Windows recognized the mouse immediately and it works fine with the windows drivers, but I highly recommend downloading the latest Razer drivers for maximum performance. The level of adjustment this mouse offers is wasted otherwise.

Other thoughts:
The blue lights on the mouse wheel and the glowing DeathAdder logo are pretty cool. I can see them becoming annoying after a while, but they are easy enough to turn off in the settings.

The DPI and Polling rates can be lowered from the 3500DPI and 1000ms if desired, but I only notice a decrease in accuracy and performance so I'm not sure why you would.

My only real complaint is the "On-The-Fly" sensitivity switch is on the bottom of the mouse. I'm not sure how on the fly that is if I'm playing a game, which is the only time I would need to use that feature. Ultimately, it's not that big of a deal, but it is kind of false advertising in my opinion.

I can't stress enough how form fitting this mouse is, not to mention that is looks pretty cool at the same time. Something about it just feels "right." Granted it took me a couple days to get used to it, but now I don't think I could go back. If you already have a Logitech G9 (or something similar) I can't say I'd tell you to go replace it right now, but if you are looking for an upgrade this is the way to go. CM's budget friendly mouse, with brand name features. Quite a creative and different take from other popular mice.

'Shape'
You will first notice the ring-finger holder of this mouse.
This is the part that is most different from most mice. While I feel like this isn't for everyone, it's still pretty darn comfortable after you give some time.
The shape naturally encourages variations of the claw grip- maybe because it's a pretty flat and short mouse.

*If you don't like restricted freedom of your ring finger, please think again before purchasing this mouse!!*

'Primary keys'
Hey look, they're shaped like Deathadder keys... need I say more? Haha... it's like a miniature version. This and Omron switches are awesome. But it doesn't stop. Matte finish on those left-right clicks! great design choice, really. These two buttons are my favorite part. I love them.
The feel and touch of these keys, very easy to click and VERY smooth surface... it's ideal! I wouldn't mind having these keys in all my mice.

'Mouse wheel'(Rubberized)
I think this uses the same wheel as the Spawn. These wheels are some of the better feeling, no doubt. Just the right 'weight' of increments when you scroll. Great tactile feedback.
Think IE explorer 3.0 scroll wheels, but better & smoother

'Body'
Rubbery excellent side grips.
Back/Foward buttons are quite pointed, lovely feedback and sound.
Dpi increments buttons are mushy and cilcky (yeah, only 500, 1000, 2000 increments allowed. 2000dpi is great).
Base material of mouse is basically anti-sweat plastic.

'Final Feelings'
I feel like this is a very fresh take, and it really make you wonder why no one had made one quite like this yet. After testing, I can say that this mouse is good for fast-cliking, high action RTS like Starcraft 2. Okay, maybe the shape isn't absolutely perfect, but the design choices are truly amazing. Each part works together to make this mice unique and natural feeling. Good buy!

*Sidenotes: I chose this because I liked black better than red, after seeing it in person. Red is a bit overdone for me. Spawn does have full programmable buttons as well as higher dpi, do note.
Yeah, I'm using this with my MX518/G400(I do use all types of mouse-gripping, this is my ideal claw mouse).

'Updates':
So far, I've used the mouse for Dota2 and TF2. I did notice quite a bit of discomfort after long hours of play. This could be because my hands are so used to the MX518 shape... will come back after giving it more time.

'4/24' update
I use this mouse for SC2 all the time now. Something about the shape of this mouse and soft buttons, allow me to increase my EPM quite a bit. For example, playing a micro practice map, I could complete actions I couldn't complete on my Logitech G400.
Reasons:
These buttons are much easier to press - faster click speed.
I hadn't noticed until now, but bigger mice are quite cumbersome.

I absolutely love this mouse. I purchased the Razer NAGA 17 button 2 months ago and just could not get used to it. I also bought the G700 and that was ok but too heavy for me. I didn't want to shell out 70 bucks for a new mouse but I finally talked myself into it and I am GLAD I did!

I tend to claw grip my mouse and pivot on my wrist bone(right side) and I have smaller hands.

I play mostly MMO's and currently back to WoW. Keep in mind I still cannot press the buttons correctly on my NAGA 17 button. With this mouse, within minutes, I was pressing all 9 buttons like I had the mouse for months! The buttons are just laid out so nice. Also the fact that they stick out more help a lot. The two buttons behind the mouse wheel are great for me to hit with my pointer finger.

I originally had the original wow mouse and LOVED it. However I could only hit the top four buttons on that and two on the side plus the side button started sticking. I would say I like this Naga Hex mouse even more than that one.

Ok back to this mouse..The mouse comes with 3 different size pads for your thumb, they really do make a difference. I ended up liking the mid size..it is pretty close to the largest size and hard to tell which one is which by looking. The small one was too thin and I could not pick the mouse up very well with it. I like to grip the mouse.

As far as the 1-6 buttons, I rock my thumb forward and easily hit #2. I rock my thumb backwards and easily hit #5. #1 and #3, I just move my thumb up or down slightly. #4 and #6 I just bring my thumb back(up/down) slightly. The buttons are all laid out just right so that you can definitely tell a difference between them all.

I really do not have any complaints on this mouse and would recommend it to anyone wanting a lot of buttons but cannot get used to the Naga 17 button mouse. If I HAD to say what I like the least, it would be that the buttons(1-6) press in very easy. So if you tried to pick it up and had your thumb on #1, you would click it. I do, however, think that over time I will be easily trained to keep my thumb on the thumb rest. I pretty much already do but I could see it being a problem for some. They would never be pushed in moving the mouse side to side IMO.

Oh...and this mouse rocks in D3 as well. yes, I am in love.

Other notes- I run everything at stock 1800 dpi etc. I am not very technical but as far as I am concered the mouse tracks as good as any other mouse I have had. This review is mainly for comfort and ease of hitting all the buttons.Razer RZ01-00750100-R3U1 Naga Hex Review By H. McCarty- [Read Original Review here]

The mouse itself is sweet and seeing how i did not already own a naga or naga epic it was a great upgrade from the standard two button mouse. The 12 thumb buttons are great for MMOs that have lots of skills and hot bars great for your instant casts and "holy crap" skills. It keeps all your most useful skills at the tip of one finger. The contents include everything that you would expect from the naga elite minus the different size side battery covers. I guess its a trade off for the special design. Either way that doesnt bother me much considering I have small hands. The first thing I recommend doing is heading to the razerzone.com site and downloading the latest Synapse 2.0 drivers. This will let you customize the everything from mouse button functions, set up macros, change the wheel LED color and mouse sensitivity and even save your settings to the cloud in case you take it to another pc or tournament.

Also please note: the Synapse 2.0 drivers are needed to get your code for the color crystal which is a black core beam and lime green sort of glow around it. Razer Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ Gaming Mouse Review By Javon L. Reid- [Read Original Review here]

I replaced my trusty old MX518 with the new G400. The G400 took zero getting used to because it's the same identical body as the MX518. All the buttons are in the same places, and the outer shell is exactly the same as the MX518, except for the "gun metal" texture of the 518. The G400 has a nice dark gray texture.

The scroll wheel is a lot quieter than the MX518 (no clicking sound, super silent unless you scroll really really fast) but still has the precision "click" feel to it that gamers prefer. As with the MX518, the G400 can switch DPI on the fly, but the other buttons won't do much out of the box unless you download the software from Logitech's website (there is no included CD). They can be programmed by application without downloading the software. I use one of the thumb buttons as a "push to talk" in Ventrilo, and I did not even have to reprogram it when I switched out my old MX518.

Some specs at a glance:
--------------------------------
+ 400-3600 DPI
+ 5.8 megapixels per second tracking
+ 1 millisecond USB report rate
+ 133g total weight
+ lightweight 15g cord
+ 10 million-click button life
+ 250km feet life

The big difference over the MX518 is the 3600 DPI precision--twice that of the MX518--and 1ms response. I've always been a fan on the MX518, and this upgrade to the G400 is very nice, and very affordable. I love it! Logitech G9X Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse with Precision Grips

There are number of questions that always arrive in buyers mind “where to buy Logitech G9X Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse with Precision Grips?, how to buy cheap Logitech G9X Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse with Precision Grips?” and more.

Many excellent reviews already proving the quality of this product. Logitech G9X Programmable Laser Gaming Mouse with Precision Grips completed with a lot off capabilities which makes it fantastic product. If you wish to know what people say about this product, just read buyers review below.

When we first reviewed the original Logitech G9 (November 2007), we didn't like it. Specifically, we thought it was uncomfortable to hold, using either of the removable shells. In fact, we described it as "not particularly comfortable for day-to-day mousing" before complaining that it was unsuitable for people who use a traditional palming grip.

We were wrong. After we made a few small adjustments to our grip, we fell in love with the G9--at least when using the grippy palm-friendly Precision body. We still don't like the smooth grip--dubbed Wide Load--and we're generally not fans of having to adjust our grip to suit a mouse, but the smooth response and power-gamer-friendly features that the G9x delivers make this mouse the best we've ever tested.

The Logitech G9x upgrades the mouse's sensor, but the rest of the mouse stays the same.

For the most part, the G9x and the original G9 are identical. The removable shells are the same, the internal weighting system accommodates up to 28 grams of weight, the onboard memory stores up to five profiles, and the scroll wheel switches between crazy-fast click-free scrolling to a more traditional click-to-click scroll at the press of a button. The only difference between the original G9 and the new G9x is its enhanced laser sensor.

Replacing the original G9's variable-sensitivity, 3,200dpi laser sensor is a 5,000dpi laser sensor, for true twitch gamers. At the highest sensitivity settings, moving the mouse a fraction of an inch will blast the cursor across the screen--giving you an edge in fast-paced shooters or RTS games where you need to cover a lot of ground quickly. Want to slow it down for a little sniping? Crank the mouse down as low as 200dpi on the fly, using the sensitivity adjustment buttons directly below the left mouse button. The mouse updates Windows up to 1,000 times per second, for accurate cursor movement no matter how fast you move it.

In its naked, shell-off form, you can see the G9x's removable weight tray. Whether you prefer a light or heavy rodent, you can have it your way.

As before, we love the G9x's profile feature, which lets you switch between pre-configured profiles on the fly on any PC, whether you have Logitech's software installed or not (you will need to have Logitech's software installed to configure the profiles initially, though). The on-mouse LEDs change color based on the profile you're using, so you won't accidentally find yourself in your RTS shooter profile when you fire up Left 4 Dead.

As with the G9, the seams between the G9x's removable shells and the main mouse body get pretty crusty over a long period of time. But everything else about this mouse--from the braided cord to its pair of thumb buttons--is awesome.

+ The best sensor we've ever tested. On-the-fly sensitivity adjustment. Driver-less profiles.

- The satiny texture of the Wide Load shell gets sweaty & gross after long sessions.

Verdict: 10 out of 10

This is a great mouse for RTS and overall a near perfect item. I rarely give 5 stars but this is an extremely high quality item. I gave it a 4/5 on comfort because I bought it to use fingertip grip which I don't think is a very comfortable way to use a mouse. However, this mouse makes fingertip grip more comfortable than on others I've tried. I've tried Logitech mx500, g500, LMO, salmosa mini and could not fingertip grip them at all comfortably while this mouse makes it pretty comfortable. The mouse has prediction / mouse smoothing / angle snapping whatever you call it turned off which is great. I have had no acceleration problems with it although I don't use the large mousepad palm style that I used to with FPS games so I probably wouldn't notice them if they were there. As for the complaints that it doesn't work with certain mousepads I think the incident rates of that are extremely low. I use a goliathus control and have had 0 problems. It's extremely lightweight, only beaten by a salmosa mini or a LMO with the weight removed. You can definitely claw grip this mouse or even palm it though your entire palm will likely not contact the mouse which may not be a bad thing. I often claw or palm it without realizing it during casual browsing so it is a comfortable way to hold the mouse. The mouse does not need any drivers which is great. Just flip it to 1,000hz and whatever DPI you want and you're good to go. I like the mouse wheel quite a bit. It is very firm and is lower on the mouse than normal. I feel a lot more comfortable using it as a mouse3 button than on any other mouse I've tried. The texture is very good. I was concerned it would be too slippery but I have not found my fingers sliding out of position during play and also it allows for a certain rotation of the fingers which is needed for fingertip grip as you pull the mouse towards and away from you. The sides of the mouse are shaped like this < > but not nearly that extreme of an angle obviously. This allows for a good grip on the lower half of the mouse so you don't have to squeeze it so hard to pull it up off the mousepad to reposition. The top angle gives you a good resting place for your ring finger. That is definitely the most important ergonomic aspect of the mouse for me. With all the other mice I've tried there is often no clear place to put your ring finger, especially with fingertip grip. The liftoff distance is a little bit high compared to my g500 but still lower than most other mice I've tried. The only other thing I can think of to improve on is the angle and height that the mouse cord comes out of the mouse. It is just like other mice but I think that the cord should come out at a bit of an up angle so it doesn't catch on the mousepad as easily, especially when using a mouse bungee. Other than that it is really a great mouse. This mouse is only very slightly behind my mx510 overall and by far the best for RTS games. If I don't cover one of the coolest features of this mouse first, I'll forget:
- The thumb shelf changes the game. I had no idea how much drag my thumb would provide and how it interfered with the smooth control of my games. The thumb shelf on the R.A.T. 7 is the perfect size to hold my fat thumb and keep it out of the way.

Continuing on - this will be the first mouse to replace my almost-perfect Logitech from 1999. The Logitech was heavy, had a nice, tactile wheel, moved very smoothly and had a responsive, easy-to-clean mouseball. Yeah, no optics for me.

The R.A.T. 7 starts light and is adjustable up to HEAVY. The solid chunk of stamped aluminum that acts as the frame peeks out from all the adjustable nooks and crannies and holds all the assemblies tightly. The feet glide smoother than any other mouse I've used. The adjustable palm rest is perfect, even if you like a shorter grip. The pinkie shelf was a nice addition, too, until I found that it interfered with play. No problem - I can use the stock pinkie assembly, but I took the whole thing off for an even better configuration taht fits my grip.

The DPI is suffficient for noticeably smoother control, and the on-the-fly DPI adjustment button at the thumb is an innovation I never thought I'd use. Until I started rockin' fools with it in MW2.

The best way to think about this mouse is this way: what else do you have for your PC that will last ten years? And grow or shrink to fit your gaming style over that whole decade? Not even your monitor is this adjustable...

Oh, and there's the fabric-wrapped cord and the removable adjustment tool and the horizontal scroll wheel and the tin that comes with the extra thumb and pinkie plates and the container for the weights and the configuration software and... phew!  Cyborg R.A.T. 5 Gaming Mouse for PC and MAC (CCB437050002/04/1). This is easily the best Logitech mouse yet. I own both the G5 and G9, and settled on the G5 as my primary mouse some time ago after hating the grip of the G9 (neither one felt natural to me). This was a problem, since I felt the G9 performed better but it just wasn't comfortable. As a result, I'm going to compare the G500 to the G5.

On the ergonomic side the G500 has had the ridge on the upper-right whittled down, making the mouse far more comfortable--especially if you hold your middle finger on the right mouse button (instead of the ring finger as some people do). This gives your ring finger a much more natural place to rest. The palm rest also feels a bit wider and raised, making the palm grip even better than the G5. Thumb button placement is fine, though I preferred the larger G5 buttons. Sensitivity toggles have moved to the upper left, making changes easier while using the index finger. Logitech has also blessed us with a mouse wheel toggle (free spin/click) that is on the top of the mouse instead of the bottom as they did on the G9. This is a huge plus for me, as I run it in free mode while browsing and click mode when gaming and I tend to alternate between the two regularly.

Performance-wise, it's technically better than the G9 and noticeably superior to the G5. The Setpoint software that is used with the G500 is also different from that of the G5, allowing for more control over the mouse. For those curious about performance in specific gaming genres I can't comment--I play almost every game genre and feel this mouse excels at them all. I'm also using it on a RAZER Goliathus Control mouse pad which is nice and smooth without feeling like there's zero friction as I tend to like some drag on my mouse.

One other note: The G5 weight cage will not work in the G500. The cage in the G500 has been altered a bit; two weight slots have been removed and the alignment track is gone. The G500 uses the same weights as the G5, however (1.7g and 4.5g).

I'd recommend this mouse to any G5 owner without hesitation. If you're a claw-grip user you could still use it, but the G9x is probably a better choice for that style of usage.

January 3, 2012 Update: I've been using the G500 since the this review was first written, and it remains in excellent shape with only minor wear from usage. This is still the first mouse I recommend when asked.

After following this mouse on the web and seeing it's weirdness on Youtube and the Cyborg site. I have to say that I'm more than surprised. Ignore what most people are saying about the sensor, I've picked up the mouse a few times and with any mouse it's going to move a little, even with my G9 and crappy 5 dollar everyday usage mouse, re-aim you crappy players who like to complain and blame a mouse! I'm using a big mousepad, the metal one from Cyborg's site with dual side covering, and the dual DPI setting works great. Play tested it with Global Agenda for the past few hours and it feels great. The sniper button is adjustable to how fast or slow you want to make the DPI setting in comparable to your mouse DPI, other words, if your DPI setting for shooting without scope is set to 3000, but when you scope, you can adjust it at 50% (default) so it's down to 1500, then you can adjust more or less depending if you want the sniper mode to be faster or slower based on a percentage to your current DPI setting. So if you go up to 5000, and the sniper mode is set to 50% (default), sniper mode puts it at 2500.

This mouse is a little bit on the heavier side though, even with all the weights taken out, it tips the scale over my G9 even with the weights in the G9 and NOT in the R.A.T. 7. But that's easy to get used to, the funkiness of it's design and ability to form fit the palm rest and thumb buttons, as well as change the ring finger and pinky siding to different grips as well as a rest for casual usage is a great feature. Doubt it's as comfortable as some ergonomic mice with dual form fitted finger rests, but remember, this is a changeable design.

Very few cons with this mouse so far, minor annoyances.
- I wished Cyborg would have gone with covering for the metal frame bottom, yes, it's sturdy and easily usable as a flail, but the corners of the metal get on my nerves for fear I may scratch my mousepad, which is FROM Cyborg also, lol. Also the mouse's feet could have a little more surface to them.
- The mouse DPI setting button (located in below the mouse wheel) feels a little loose, which kind of scared me, I'm wondering if it should be stiffer or is that how it's suppose to be? Not too sure, will have to email Cyborg about it, but it works, it's more of a single button switch than a button. Like a toggle button, that you press and push forward to increase, or press and pull back to decrease DPI setting.
- Another minor annoyance is the thumb buttons swivle ability, if you get way too into a game, I could see the potential for pushing too hard on the thumb buttons and sniper button and possible pushing in the thumb buttons so you'd have to readjust the swivle again.
- Last minor annoyance is the tool placement for the mouse. I like how it's part of the mouse so it's not easily lost. BUT damned if you have small hands or like to support your mouse with only your fingers for really fast paced pick up and move shooting, for the nub of the tool does get annoying to the bottom palm of your hand, at least move the palm rest down one click to avoid this problem. I like 2 clicks down myself, gives a better palm feel for me.

Overall, I'm really shocked. Glad Saitek/Cyborg kept up with producing this mouse the way it came out and don't let the MadCatz label fool you. Ever true gamer knows about MadCatz, but remember, this is a CYBORG, not really a MadCatz, though it has their label. Also they do include a nifty tin case to carry all the extra parts and even a small container for weights you aren't using, though the weight container is somewhat a pain since the weights can get stuck inside. I suggest you toss it out or place a buffer inside the bottom so weights won't get stuck. With as big as the tin case is, you'd think the mouse would fit inside also, which I wish it did! Be a great way to transport a mouse for LAN parties.

If you got the dough to dish out, it's a pretty interesting mouse with a great concept, adjust it to your hand for whatever reason or game you play. Again, this mouse is capable of being used as a flail, so remember not to beat anyone who sneaks behind you while you're trying to shoot someone. Edit: I've stopped playing WoW so much and have been playing other types of games recently. Now that the buttons can be remapped this mouse works well for any game. It's great for shooters because I can swap weapons without having to reach for the F-keys. I've grown to appreciate how ergonomic it is. It fits my hand perfectly. I'm fully acclimated to the button placement and can hit the right one without thinking. Razer was right that it takes 15-20 hours for it to become second nature. I have found that for my short fingers only 9 of the 12 thumb buttons are an easy reach. I try to put the less important functions on the top row.

As an avid WoW player I'm always on a quest for mice with more buttons. MOAR! Most mice are limited to 5 mappable buttons that my fingers can actually reach. Some do cram more buttons on the mouse but place them in awkward locations that are only practical for infrequently used functions. I had high hopes for the SteelSeries WoW branded mouse but it's built poorly and the thumb buttons are hard to press individually without fat fingering the next button. Another mouse I wanted to like was the Sandio 3D but it's way too large for my hand. Plus, the hat switches are good for movement but not so good for mapping to four individual functions. I've been using Logitech MX series mice that have 8-9 mappable buttons. These are comfortable and the software is very flexible in how the buttons are mapped. I've been content with them but am always looking for more.

Enter the Razer Naga. I thought this was a Photoshop joke when I first saw the picture. But they really have put a cell phone style keypad on the thumb side for a total of 17 buttons. What's amazing is they've done this while keeping the mouse a reasonable size and having all but one button within easy finger reach. The mouse feels very high quality. It's very comfortable with good tactile feel. The scroll wheel is the nicest I've ever used. It's clear that Razer puts a lot of effort into creating a functional design, not just something that looks good in the box. My only complaint about the physical aspect is that it's rather lightweight.

The thumb buttons will take getting used to and I'm still working on it. I'm not going to raid with it out of the box because I don't want people to die. But even after a short while playing around with it in battlegrounds I'm improving and I can tell that the muscle memory will build up quickly until it feels natural - just like with a keyboard or gaming pad. Thoughtfully, Razer includes rubbery stick on nubs that you can place as tactile landmarks to train yourself. Razer claims 88% of gamers are fully comfortable after 18 hours of play.

The Windows driver is simpler and less flexible than I expected. The thumb buttons map to either the number row above the keyboard or the right number pad. The 5 main buttons map to the standard windows Left/Right/Middle/Back/Forward actions. There is no custom button mapping. Razer expects you to use an in game interface to map your actions to the fixed buttons. This is fine for WoW but could be a limitation on other games.

Razer supplies a custom WoW addon that is available at [...]. It's just a branded version of Dominos - an established addon. It's good that Razer licensed something that is fully featured and well tested rather than creating something new that probably wouldn't be as good. I'm unable to use it, however, because it conflicts with Bartender4. There is no need to use the Razer addon as the mouse is just acting like 12 keyboard buttons. Since the default behavior is to just map the 12 numbers above the keyboard you could just use standard WoW action bars and keybindings with zero configuration.

If it's not clear by now, I think this is a great product. I've been waiting for a mouse like this for 5 years and Razer has delivered! Razer Naga Special Edition - Molten (RZ01-00280500-R3) Review By Dylan Ginsburg - [Read Original Review here]
